There are a variety of legal considerations for entrepreneurs launching a business. In this informative presentation for those early in the process of starting their business, attendees will learn about selecting a business, choosing the legal structure of the business (LLC. S Corp, sole proprietorship, etc.), intellectual property with a focus on trademarking, website terms of use, and relevant contract considerations for your successful holistic business with a focus on client contracts. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and will also learn about resources available to entrepreneurs.

Donna Hay is an experienced business and education strategist with a background managing customer experience, consulting, and partnerships teams of up to two dozen, successfully meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) of $3 million - $8 million in annual revenue, and achieving NPS (customer satisfaction) scores of 90+ across products. Passionate about building ambitious yet healthy cultures, over the past twenty-five years, Donna has developed expertise in talent strategy, higher education, and DEI, with a working knowledge of healthcare.
Currently serving as Executive Director of ISEE, Donna’s experience spans roles in startups, nonprofits, consulting firms, and colleges / universities. She holds an A.S. in Nursing and a B.A. in Spanish from Oakwood University, an HBCU in Huntsville, AL, an M.A. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a J.D. from Georgetown University. Additionally, Donna is a Certified Diversity Professional through the National Diversity Council.
