Class description:
Dealing with couples dynamics in a workshop, retreat or other educational setting poses unique challenges as well as rewards. Ignoring them can lead to emotional contagion, distraction, or just not reaching your goals, while delving too deeply can turn your workshop into group therapy. How do we address these issues effectively, turning complex interactions into teaching moments or growth opportunities?
This workshop, led by a former marriage and family therapist and Master sex educator will cover common patterns between partners, how they can play out in a psycho-educational setting, and multiple interventions that you will find useful when leading such an event.
Participants will be able to
1.Identify at least 3 common couples dynamics that can present in educational and workshopsettings
2.Recognizecommon mistakes made by trainers in educational settings with couples
3.Describeat least 3 educational interventions to try when couplesdynamics are present
