Whether we are educating a client in session, a participant in a workshop, or a patient on the examining table, the way that we envision human sexuality is crucial to effectiveness. A sex-positive approach is key, but it is not a large enough framework. What does it mean to include the whole person in our paradigm? How can we incorporate body, mind, emotions, and spirit into our assessments, our interventions, our suggestions with clients, and those that we educate? This session presented by the founder of ISEE will introduce the founding principles of Holistic Sex Education, raise questions about how we can shift into a new paradigm, and examine the birth of this new field.
By the end of this course participants will be able to:
- Identify at least 2 principles of Holistic Sex Education.
- Describe body-centered exercises or office environments.
- Discriminate between pleasure and comfort.
