Sex educators are often not therapists, but the issues they deal with require sensitivity, and some group dynamic skills can help to properly contain participants' emotional issues in an educational setting. This series of two 90-minute webinars will explore the roles of a facilitator, common group processes, and discuss skills and strategies in common sex ed situations.

By the end of this course participants will be able to :

  • Identify at least 2 common emotional issues arising in sex education.
  • Recognize the 5 stages of group dynamics.
  • Examine leader/facilitator skills for groups.
  • Discuss strategies for trauma reactions.

This program has met the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and has been approved for 3 CE’s.
