This class will address definitions and language, best practices, challenges and some basic strategies for sex education and therapy with people with Autism. This class is taught by an autistic instructor, giving participants a unique look into autism and sexuality from the inside in a non-pathologized manner. Participants will be able to

  • Describe three health (e.g. physical, social and/or emotional) and/or academic benefits of sex education for autistic individuals
  • Articulate 3 common myths about autism and why they are inaccurate.
  • Provide three strategies of a trauma-informed approach to sex education and provide three clinical considerations when working with autistics in particular when working in the area of human sexuality.
  • Articulate 2 different ways of defining autism 


Jack Duroc-Danner (they/them he/him) is a queer autistic sexuality educator. They have been working as a sexuality educator and autism advocate for four years. Jack works with therapists as well as other professionals, parents/caregivers and autistic individuals on how to support autistic individuals by providing consultations (one-on-one as well as group consultation), resources, and educational workshops on the intersection of human sexuality and autism. Jack also works as a massage therapist specializing in pregnancy and pediatric massage. They have been working as a massage therapist for 6 years.
