Class Description:
What are the basics of ethical behavior? How do we determine what is ethical? In this 2-part webinar, Dr. Rosalyn Dischiavo will discuss the basics of some ethical concepts and the importance of ethics in the fields of sex education, counseling and therapy. In part 2, Dr. Cannon will help us to understand and examine how the AASECT Ethics Advisory Committee works as well as how the AASECT Code of Conduct is currently evolving.
Learning Objectives:
- Formulate questions about the AASECT Code of Conduct
- Identify at least 3 ethical concepts
- Critique the AASECT Code of Conduct with respect to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Goals:
Participants will be more familiar with ethical concepts and the AASECT Code of Conduct and will gain a greater understanding of the need for consistent dialog in ethical matters.
