By the end of this course participants will be able to:

  • Describe the changing nature of Western cultural values and the treatment that has arisen from these values.
  • Discuss some common treatment philosophies and modalities in both sexuality and substance abuse fields.
  • Identify some common sexual issues for clients in recovery.
  • Identify sexual issues with drugs commonly used in SA treatment.
  • Issues for LGBT people in substance abuse treatment.
