Class description:
These 2-hour group consults are interactive and dynamic, and will appeal to those in the sexuality fields who have their own businesses, to AASECT* Supervisors, Supervisors in Training, Administrators of programs, and those who have or wish to have leadership roles in the fields of sexuality education, clinical sexology, sexuality counseling, sex therapy, or related fields.
Participants will learn how to create and develop their businesses and become professional leaders in their respective communities with real-time consultation groups.
This program provides participants with a range of skills and exciting ideas for creating and developing their businesses, including executive consulting skills, engagement, and branding, systemic thinking, executive coaching, and ethical leadership.
Many of us are frustrated by the slow or nonexistent changes that we see, and yet we remain dedicated as advocates. How can you as a leader guide an organization that is not yours? We need skills to be able to influence organizations, and organizational leadership and consultation is needed in the field of human sexuality. This group
will help you think and build skills for organizational development, aiding systems to move beyond dysfunctional and oppressive patterns.
Learning Objectives:
- Reflect upon and share concepts about the necessity of leading conversations about inclusivity in building and sustaining organizations.
- Discuss inherent power inequities and the use of expanded leadership models that are more inclusive.
- Consider and evaluate trends in sexuality organizations and practices that are intended to empower constituents.
Instructor: This program is led by Dr. James Wadley, PhD, MA, CSES, NCC, CSTS , an internationally recognized leader in the field of human sexuality.
